I just got off a group convo with some 3 industry friends on skype …During our random chit chat and gossip, it came out that, for some reason, nobody in the movie industry wants to HIRE Nadia Buari…( I am aware some of the reasons but that is not the purpose of this post so will not mention them)
I am not a fan of the numerous ‘small’ movies that come out each and everyday in Ghana & Nigeria…The only movies I pay mind are those with good Directors and enough buzz to catch my attention. I cannot mention any recent ‘BIG’ movie Nadia Buari has been featured in…If you know of any, let me know…LOL
According to my well informed industry friend in Ghana, Nadia Buari is getting worried as a result of what seems to be a total sideline from the major movie makers in Ghana and Nigeria. Gone are the days when Nadia Buari used to be part of any big or reputable production…
As a result of the above, Nadia Buari’s name may not even come up in any of the categories of the upcoming Ghana Movie Awards as a nominee. The Actress has not worked this year…And you know what that means right? Not only is her shine being darkened, she is probably not far from BROKE!
If this is really what it seems, then when you say a prayer tonight, you better say some for Nadia Buari because as some of us cautioned some years back, the one time over used Actress is struggling to get roles…

@nanya martinson, Yvonne Nelson is the second best actress in Ghana right next to Jackie Appiah. Martha Ankomah is a close second also. Nadia has never been good. She’s like the female version of VAN VICKER(Mr. I think im better than Majid) Its just cause Nadia and Van started together and they are presently still trash acts. Jackie & Majid began together and they are the best in GHANA right now. HAHAHA
@JonJon, yes nadia and van started together but they’ve both grown… plus i think nadia is really good now.. van not so much but nadia has really impressed me with the movie checkmate.. shes top tier forsure.. i think people are just jealous of her.. and i bet its mostly because of her complexion and accent… becayse she doesnt look or sound like a true ghanaian. but you poeple need to leave her alone, shes awesome and a blessing to ghana

Nadia is not a cheep actress, she does not play in any stupid movie. is not how many movies u make in the year that count, but the quality of the movie. Lydia Forson, Omotola, Nadia, and Genevieve do not care about the numbers of movie in a year, but only the quality (with a good story line) they will stare in.
