In an attempt to secure a high standard international film made out of Africa, various talented and experienced film makers from Africa were gathered in Kenya by a German film house-One Fine Day Films and out of the countless Actors/Actresses in West Africa, Lydia Forson from Ghana was recognized and chosen. (Yeap, she nailed down all the Actresses to make it)
Since the standard expected from this movie was exceptionally high, a short workshop was organized to train, refresh and further help to select the outstanding participants for the movie project. Out of the selected lot, those who performed extremely well during the training were picked to be part of the final film project.
Ghanaian Actress and one time Africa’s Best ‘Lydia Forson’ sailed through the rigid selection process to be part of the ultimate project.
The production and training of the various Actors was sponsored by DW-Academy in collaboration with Ginger Ink-an independent production company in Kenya. Also, Highly efficient filming equipments were provided by ARRI for the production.
If you care to know, ARRI is the world’s largest independent company that provides equipments and services for television and films. The company was involved in the production of movies like Quantum of Solace, Step Up and Three Musketeers.
And guess what? To make sure the final production met an international standard, Oscar sent some of their best people (delegation) to work with the selected Actors & the production house. From Oscar were John Baily (Cinematography) Alfre Woodard (Film Acting) Carol Littleton (Editing) Stephanie Allain (Production) Wynn Thomas (Production Design) Phil Robinson (Script Writing/Directing) and Willie Burton (Sound).
Are you going to join GhanaCelebrities.Com to congratulate Lydia Forson or are you going to be jealous like I am now? The film comes out in 2013, yeah you read it right, it comes out in 2013, remember that quality movies go through a lot of editing…
In other interesting Lydia Forson news, before the Actress flew to Kenya, she had a fabulous photo shoot in New York with Face2Face Africa Magazine-a new multi niche Magazine due to hit the market in 2012.
In the Magazine, Lydia shares her technique with African women on how to ‘love your skin flawlessly like she does’.
