Dear Chris-Vincent,
I have been reading your blog-GhanaCelebrities.Com for months now and the comments some of your readers who I believe are heterosexuals pour out when issues of Homosexuals & Lesbians (Gayism) come up show how much of no respect heterosexuals have for anybody with a different sexual orientation.
When have Gays insult or throw indecent words at heterosexuals for just being what they feel is good for them? Yet, anytime an article about Gays come up on any Ghanaian platform especially GC, dozens of your heterosexual readers jump to insult and call people like me all sort of names just because we have a different sexual preference to them.
The way and manner your heterosexual readers attack Gays without any reciprocation from the latter shows that, Gays are probably more human than heterosexuals, they respect the sexual orientation of others and are more decent, peaceful and calm in society.
When do you hear Gays fighting anybody because they are not lesbians or homosexuals or condemning someone for being heterosexual? It is more sickening to read uninformed comments such as; homosexuals do not have rights in Ghana among others.
I will not waste my time in an attempt to educate such illiterates that, the Constitution of the Republic of Ghana accords every citizen the right to privacy and autonomy of his/her body. The stretch of this is that, as long as whatever an individual does with his body does not unlawfully affect the other, the security of the nation or the public peace, that individual has every constitutional right and liberty to engage in whatever it is.
I was glad to have read that you are a law student; this means you will get the above point very clear and maybe educate your ignorant readers as to the rights of homosexuals in Ghana.
It is sad that even though society is moving and things are changing for the good, some Ghanaians are still glued to their primitive minds and as such are failing to see the reasonableness and joy in same sex relationship.
I have seen it, practiced it and I am happy with my life. I do not go about insulting or condemning heterosexuals for not being Gays, I therefore think it is really pathetic that heterosexuals go about insulting homosexuals for not being what they are (heterosexuals).
I hope you will give my e-mail the necessary audience by publishing it.
Thank You.
