A loyal GC reader ‘Miyagi’ just sent me a link to the article below written by Joy Ocloo, an incredible loud mouth from Leila Djansi’s camp on a Nigerian website.
The article suggests inter alia that, there is some sort of animosity between Leila Djansi and ‘myself’ plus probably GC and its readers are part of why Nia Long could not make it for their movie. I thought this story was long dead…
In fact, I have moved on and I am enjoying my blogging life. I do not have time to host any sort of animosity for anyone so if Joy Ocloo is saying this, then maybe it is her and Leila Djansi that have gotten an inside for me.
This is a complete bullshyt, why would I care? I am stating it firmly here that, those in Leila Djansi’s camp thinking there is an animosity should get over it and take some chill pill because I am focusing and have no time!

The filmmakers on the movie Ties That Bind took some serious heat when it leaked that Nia Long will be playing a role in the film. Just when fans were rolling up their sleeves to meet her, Diary of a Mad Black Woman star Kimberly instead lands in Ghana and joined the cast. This scandal came to a head on Ghanacelebrities.com with the notorious website and its numerous fans slamming Leila Djansi for all kinds of things. It went as far as creating events that have brought animosity between the owner of the site and top shelf director.
The real reason Nia did not do the film apart from the usual sabotage tactics was that the gorgeous 40 year old is expecting her second child fathered by Nigerian descent basket ball player Ime. She found out about it right at the time she was heading to Ghana. For health reasons for mother and new pregnancy, the production returned the role to Kimberly who had been first billed. The director took all the internet abuse blows for a good cause. The production had been instructed to keep the issue of her conception a secret for many reasons and thus could not divulge why Nia did not come to Ghana as planned. Although many arrangements had been made to accommodate her situation, her Drs thought it best she not travel at all.
Will fans see Nia in a Leila Djansi film soon? sooner than you think.
For now, lets wish the superstar a safe delivery and claim the coming baby as our very own African brother or sister!! We love Nia Long!
