After years of blogging about Celebrities, I have come to realize that by default, celebrities are like computer programmes, they function in certain ways as told to do and would not under any certain terms deviate from their refined acts.
However, good company, good conversation and a little alcohol does wonders such as defiling the default programmed mindset and behaviour of celebrities, it seems to be the only mechanism to get actress Yvonne Okoro to stand up in the middle of a restaurant and laugh out hard as if she was on some LSD.
The dinner with the stars and crew of ‘Adams Apples’ together with a ticket winner from GhanaCelebrities.Com and her guest took place yesterday at a posh Bayswater restaurant.
The stunningly dressed persons who made it to the dinner were all seated at about 8pm with giggles and little chit chats amongst ourselves. The default programme was working at this stage; everybody was being ‘classy’ and low toned.
About 18 people (celebrities and non celebrities) gathered around two tables with different variety of tasteful Chinese food spinning around for everyone to dish whatever he or she wants.
Seated on my table were generous and chicly dressed Shirley Frimpong Manso, Bridget (Shirley’s lovely sister) and her husband, the calm and gentle Anang Adjetey (Pusher), Joselyn Dumas, SassyChic from GC, Chantel Korsah (winner from GC) & her guest (mother) and Lydia from Sparrow Productions.
On the second table were folks from AKWAABA (those who poorly organized the London Movie Premiere), the swerve John Dumelo, Naa Ashorkor Mensah, Yvonne Okoro and a certain LOUD and overly drunk dude called NANA.
After we had enough of the food and soft drinks that were ordered, the wine and champagne started rolling in and this is when people’s default programmes started to suffer some major defects!
The two tables got neatly louder with conversations on a wide range of topics; issues such as Travel, GhanaCelebrities.Com, Big Brother Africa, Politics, USA Foreign Policies, Film Making, Feminism, amongst others were discussed with contributions from everyone.
The more the alcohol rolled in, the more fun it became. In the midst of family, friends and work colleagues, the person who made this possible-Shirley Frimpong Manso was happily carried away into sequence of laughers and talks.
The GC reader Chantel Korsah who won the opportunity to dine and mingle with the stars was also happily seated near her Mother and Joselyn Dumas.
Joselyn has such a lovely and chatty persona, alcohol made her even more interesting.
On the 2nd table, Naa Ashorkor and Yvonne Okoro got louder and louder with fine wine and champagne messing with their heads as they talked about Movies, Women Empowerment and other things.
The dinner night came to a cheerful and socializing end at around 11:30pm. It was certainly a fabulous night to sit close to those I bash and commend on this blog.
Thanks very much to Shirley Frimpong Manso and her Sparrow Productions for making this possible, thanks to all the Celebrities that made it fun and all that were able to make it to the night. It was a night to remember!
