Jaded controversial Ghanaian musician ‘A Plus’ comedy show premieres today on ETV Ghana. The ‘A Plus Show’ is a comedy show many people will identify with since it will touch on the lighter side of issues Ghanaians can relate to.
According to the organizers, the show seeks to touch on issues; from economics, religion, and politics to everyday social life. It combines music, drama and stand-up comedy. Although it is a comedy show with the purpose of entertaining our viewers, it is well designed to serve the purpose of social commentary.

The show has been divided into five segments to entertain viewers:
Musical Performance:
This will feature all genres of music from both local and international. Being a live band, it will afford the artiste the opportunity to render a different version of their song(s) every week.
Adventures Of The Siaw Brothers:
This will highlight the adventures of complicated and controversial siblings in the Siaw family. For starters it will feature Mr. Beautiful – a renowned Ghanaian actor and Kwame Amu – a presenter on Okay FM. This dysfunctional family consists of brothers and sisters in a compound house, who have problem with everything, everyone and even themselves. This segment will focus on their adventures each week. From time to time viewers will be treated by any two members of the family.
Funny Clips (ireport):
We take advantage of technology in a globalized era. Here, the show will highlight on funny clips of the week. This includes our funny everyday life recorded or captured by our cameras although priority will be given to those funny clips from funerals, parties and other events or the community sent in by our viewers. The best clip from viewers will be rewarded.
The Stand Up Comedy Show:
This is the climax of the show. A Plus takes control of the Show with rib-cracking acts and jokes. Viewers will compete in a tell-a-joke contest and the best emerging as the comedy act of the week. The winner for the day will receive a prize. All winners will be screened with the best three over a period joining A Plus when he stages a ticketed event.
Interview (Humour In Me):
This segment will be hosted by A Plus where he interviews the personality of the week. The main aim of this segment is to bring out the lighter side of our corporate executives, sportsmen, politicians; musicians, etc. Interviewee will answer selected questions sent in by the audience after the first few editions.
This combines David Letterman, Ellen DeGeneres, Piers Morgan, Monique, Chelsea and Wendy Williams into A Plus’ Wacky Style Interview.
The ‘A Plus Show’ is an hour comedy show which will be aired on Etv Ghana on Thursdays from 10 – 11 pm. The Show will be prerecorded and played back.
