Being on screens like any other profession has peak times for those involved in this art and also times that the ‘shakers’ are kicked into the shadow to pave way for new talents…
Like most movie industries in the world, the Ghana movie industry seems to be currently glued together by a group of Actors and Actresses (others preferably call them the A-list), without these people, I do not think there will be any new successful Ghanaian movie.
I remember the days when persons like Grace Omaoebo ‘Maame Dorkono’, Pascaline Edwards, ‘Waakye’, Fred Amugi and others were the pivotal points around which our movie industry revolved…
Today, certain Actors and Actresses are the front fighters of the Ghanaian movie industry, without them, I can surely bet my last coins that our industry will go ‘kaput’.
Who do you think are the Actors and Actresses holding our industry together today and why? Who deserves the crown as the over all ‘Captain’ of the industry?
