M.anifest is thrilled to share with you his brand new video for “Suffer” shot in Madina. M.anifest who is currently based in America was born and raised in Accra, Ghana.
“Suffer” is the newest single from his upcoming September 2011 album –Coming to America: Immigrant Chronicles. The excellent production on the song was provided by his friend and frequent collaborator Budo.
The video was directed and shot by filmmaker Justin Schell during their one month stay in Ghana filming for the documentary – “we rock long distance.” The final visual outcome was collaboration with friends at Six-ton Productions.
“It’s only fitting that i’m writing you about this release whiles in Ghana. I see the conditions and people that inspired this song in the first place: from the kayayo to the taxi driver to gari soakings to the frustrating traffic and the beautiful smiles that rest on our faces despite it all. It’s the beauty of the human condition”, M.anifest said to explain the reason behind the tune and video.
