Miss Ghana 2010, Stephanie Karikari has been made the new face of the popular hair relaxer, of BO-16 manufactured by Ghandour Cosmetics. Stephanie’s new found status means she would lead most of the company’s publicity platforms. She will act as the ‘cover girl’ in most of their branding materials both home and abroad, for a one year period.
An excited Stephanie said: “I am grateful to all the wonderful people who worked around the clock to make this a reality. BO-16 is a world class product so for me to be chosen as its Face means a lot. To all those who trusted and believed in me, I can’t stop thanking you and to the management of Ghandour, I say a big thank you”.
Ali Jihami, Marketing Manager of Ghandour Cosmetics said: “we are excited to have Stephanie on board as the face of our company. It is refreshing news which we believe will go a long way to enhance the relationship between Ghandour and Media Whizz Kids”.
Jihami added that given the successful nature of last year’s event, his outfit wouldn’t mind sponsoring this year’s and said “we are looking forward to a good 2011 event. This year, just as it’s been done in previous editions, the management of Ghandour is expecting nothing but the best. Miss Ghana for us, is a cultural heritage the whole of Ghana can relate to, so we are happy to work with the organizers again”.
The company’s support over the years for the Miss Ghana beauty pageant has been enormous. Last year, shortly after the pageant, they presented the first three winners of the competition with GHC 5000. Miss Ghana is a Media Whizz Kids event. This year’s edition, set to launch soon, would be the 54th.

not to be the lone voice of discord here, but
WHEN ARE WE GOING TO STOP USING RELAXERS AND EMBRACE OUR OWN HAIR?
Yes, to relax is a choice, but I rather hope beauty queens and people like that would choose to reinforce positive choices, and not ones like relaxers
open ya eyes man!! we’ve heard this one too many times , wat use is it?? , besides it cause no harm so wats all these preaching about natural beauty , i beg define natural beauty for .ok so wat happened to 21st century then????
open my eyes to what?
and who says it causes no harm? Relaxer burns are harmful.
Alopecia also harms people’s self image.
Part of the definition of “natural beauty” as you call it is the word
natural, meaning unaltered. So yes, unaltered beauty.
And what has happened to the 21st century?
nevermind! u just dont get it!!!!!
