New Mum Alica Keys has been hitting the town this week as she celebrates her 30th b-day with her man Swizz Beat with an Egyptian ( in honour of her son Egypt, no comment that name) themed party. Alicia was also seen catching fun last Thursday night at the Nicks game. I have to say, she’s looking amazing at 30!
Don’t you just love twitter! It really makes me wonder whether these celebs continue to rant and mouth off on twitter for publicity or if they ACTUALLY forget that people can read what they post! Imagine voicing your opinion and then been made to apologize again!
Terry McMallian most have been fuming when she was asked to say sorry for tweeting that she thinks Will Smith is pimping out his children to Jay-z for her lead role in Annie.
This amongst other things caused the famous writer of the novels ‘waiting to ex-hale and Mama’ to publicly spout her opinions. Well I’m sure many of us agree with her, I’m just wondering who and how they got her to apologize!
and here’s the apology….
‘I apologize for using the word pimp and exploit in referring to the Smith children. It was insensitive of me and wrong. Twitter is not the best forum to express some things. I didn’t know folks would take my opinion so personally. It is amazing, though, how fast an unflattering comment gets retweeted versus one that’s flattering. I’m done with this issue. My opinion isn’t going to change anything.
There are a lot more important things going on in the world right now. My Mama used to say: “They’ll talk about you if you do. And talk about you if you don’t. Let ‘em talk.” Some folks look for a reason to criticize you. They’re getting off on it and are saying much worse things than I did. I’ve got work to do. I hope everybody who has something important to do today besides worry about the Smith children, does it.
And for those of you who were so offended by what I said or thought I was being disrespectful, unfollow me’.
It seems this might become a weekly feature…celebs and their stupid tattoos! I have seen some really crazy tattoos recently, but what was T-PAIN thinking when he did this? He must be spending WAY too much time on FaceBook!
I’ve decided that such madness is caused by too much money and not enough problems. It makes you glad to be a non-celeb at times like this.
