Earlier this month, Ghanaian ace Director/Scriptwriter Shirley Frimpong Manso was recognized by the BBC and invited her to join the list of their shortlist of remarkable individuals who have won awards around the world for 2010. This list featured outstanding people in their chosen field; from Medicine to Entertainment.
At the BBC World Studios in London, Ms Shirley Frimpong Manso of Sparrow Productions talked about the African Movie Academy Award Winning movie “Perfect Picture”, movie production in Africa-the setbacks and the optimism.
The BBC’s talk with Shirley was aired yesterday (24th December, 2010) via BBC World Service “Today’s News hour” with a repeat on the same station in the evening (around 8-9pm London time).
