Readers’ Mail: Socrate Sarfo & Idikoko, Why Now? You Banned Yvonne Nelson, Then Ekow Smith Asante & Now Kofi Adjorlolo Is At The Tip Of The Ice…

Hello Chris,

I am not sure if you have deliberately decided not to post on the 2 Years ban which has been handed down to Actor Ekow Smith Asante by FIPAG (The same unqualified Marfia group that banned Yvonne Nelson) or you just do not find it news worthy.

Anyway, I hope this mail is given the deserve audience as I have read e-mails from other readers which you have published.

I am going to keep this concise and precise. When Socrate Sarfo and his gang of marfia with Idikoko being 2nd in command banned Yvonne Nelson for her alleged disrespect towards Abdul Sallam and others, we threw out our sentiments on GhanaCelebrities.Com to no avail since her ban has not been lifted.

If one is killed, we can call it a sacrifice, two becomes a mistake but three means something is obviously not right.

If anyone reading this is not aware of this, then blame GC for not writing about it. The calm and respectful handsome Actor “Ekow Smith Asante” has also been banned for 2 years for failing to follow certain regulations within the Ghana Movie Industry. (Socrates can explain this better, or maybe his left hand man Idikoko can do it best).

In a space of 1 month, two good and established Actors have been banned in our small developing movie industry. What is the sense in all these bans? Soon all the Actors and Actresses will be banned by FIPAG, a group not far from a gang of dictators and bullies.

After the successful banning of Yvonne Nelson and Ekow Smith, the next victim is our own grandfather and veteran “Kofi Adjorlolo”.

Socrate Sarfo and his fake Association is at his neck and they have started throwing out the word BAN. I am positive that in the next few days, he will also be added to the banned Ghanaian Actors list.

Where is our movie industry going with these  senseless “Bans”? I think Socrate Sarfo and friends need to be questioned and their actions scrutinized.

After all, the Ghana Movie industry is not some tyrannous North Korean Association for two loud but poor producers like Socrate Sarfo and Idikoko to be doing as they please.

God help Ghana!

  3. that socrate sarfo man needs to be banned. with the kind of useless movies he does, he should be taking out of the movie industry completely. the cheek of it. even his “ADULT ONLY” movie trailer is banned on youtube. in short, he is not qualified to ban anybody in the industry. i wonder who gives him the room to do that in the first place.

  4. hahahahaha, ban indeed! am surprised that the actors are sitting down for people who lack the capacity to be banning others from their legitimate profession. and by the way, how effective is this ban?

  5. Well, heard this news somewhere last week and was also wondering why GC had not posted it here.Anyway, these actors have been in the industry for quite long a time and am not sure why such decision was taken.I mean how would a movie portraying a “pimp” be shot without our own Kofi Adjorlorlo out of the box.Looks like they didnt show no respect to the old old man at all.Oh and for Ekow Smith, am not sure ..Something really needs to be done about it.Definition of Ban: A new term used in the Ghanaian movie industry.

  11. ok the whole story is ekow is trying to produce his own and brought in a nigeria director but socrate and co asked ekow to stop the production bcos the director is not license to work in gh. ekow refused to stop the production claiming he is not the only producer in gh having unlicensed director since the likes of frank raja r working in gh w/out a permit. so socrate called for a meeting and ekow did not show up bcos he was got in smtin. so they banned him frm film production but he is allow to act in others movie

  15. Ekow Smith was banned for what purpose? You know Socrates will never get these actors to work for him hence the jealousies, he should be banned from making movies.

  16. The are self employed. If you feel the actor’s behavior is not to your liking, you don’t have to sign him for a contract. That is what is done in Hollywood. so called executives should wake-up. The Movie Industry is not managed by politicians.
    Wake Up Ghana Movie Industry.
