The aroma exuding from the camp of “Sinking Sands” has it that Scriptwriter/Director Leila Djansi has been swindled out of huge sum of money by her trusted Personal Assisant “Delali Kumahor” and boyfriend Actor Senanu Gbedawo Of “CheckMate Fame” (We are talking about thousands of dollars).
According to our source, Delali Kumahor forged signatures and managed to withdraw in series huge sums of money meant for the production and marketing of Leila Djansi’s new movie “Sinking Sands”.
Guess what she does after going through thick and thin to embezzle the fund? She lavishly spent it on her Actor boyfriend Senanu Gbedawo Of “CheckMate Fame”. Some women do not cease to amaze my intellect. So she stole all those money to “spread” them on her “fine bobo”. (I want to be an Actor too, Geez!)
After Leila Djansi alerted the Police of the fraud, Delali Kumahor was arrested along side her boyfriend “Senanu Gbedawo”. The two love birds have been dating for almost a year now.
When GhanaCelebrities.Com made contact with Leila Djansi on Tuesday night, she was on her way to the United States where she is based for a week and would return to Ghana after her short visit to continue the promotion of her movie as well as deal with the shocking fraud issue.
As interesting as the case seems to be, I wanted to get an in-depth “gist” before making any publication and decided to contact the victim again today in the United States. Leila had just gotten to LA when I managed to reach her and was extremely tired after hours on the plane so decided to make a further contact somewhere this week in order to grab from her the full story.
Meanwhile, I am reliably informed that the two accused of fraud were released on bail yesterday. I am told that, out of trust and efforts to “help” Delali Kumahor who is considered as sister from another mother by Leila Djansi, the latter even gave the former “some” percent share in her production.
This is like “ A stab in the back” featuring Actor Senanu Gbedawo and introducing Delali Kumahor. Can we even trust our own people? I will keep updates coming when I managed to speak to Leila Djansi in length on this issue.
