Yvonne Nelson Accepts Bad Conduct, Apologizes To Abdul Sallam But Apology Thrown Into The Trash Can….

Yvonne Nelson

I had an in-depth conversation with a media friend relatively close to Abdul Sallam yesterday, and we discussed inter alia, the validity of Yvonne Nelson’s ban, whether it will hold for a year and what Sallam can remedy himself with should the Producers Association decide to invalidate the ban.

I held the argument that even if the Producers Association of Ghana sits on the case and decides to let her off the hook, Abdul Sallam as an individual and any other Producer who have suffered in the hands of Yvonne Nelson’s gobbledygook behaviour can still insist on “not using her in their individual movies”.

I made the deduction above when I was informed of Yvonne Nelson’s intention to render an apology to Sallam which the latter had vigorously stated that “he will not accept”.

Little did I know that Yvonne Nelson was on her way the same day to render her unqualified apology. According to Peacefm, her apology was trashed out.

What does her apology say to those defending her on here? If indeed she went out there to apologize, then she has accepted that she is at fault. (Blameworthy).

If the perpetrator acknowledges her fault and has not made a single attempt to defend her “bad” behaviour, why are others trying to defend and justify her conduct? Now, let’s wait and hear what the Defenders got to say !

……………………………………………….

Ghanaian screen goddess, Yvonne Nelson, who has been banned from starring in any Ghanaian or Nigerian movie for a year, is reported to have secretly visited the private residence of Executive Producer and CEO of Venus Films Production, Alhaji Abdul Salam, after peacefmonline.com broke the news of her ban.

Peacefmonline.com investigations indicates that the actress went to Salam’s house on Sunday November 21, 2010, to render an unqualified apology to him for her rude and disrespectful conduct on location a few weeks ago.

According to a source close to the Venus Films CEO, a contrite Yvonne, secretly went to apologize to Salam after putting up a shocking behaviour in front of everyone on set, and to also plead for the lifting of the one year ban placed on her.

Peacefmonline is reliably informed that Abdul Salam gave the actress a warm reception but refused to accept her apology, and rather demanded a public admission of guilt i.e. she should render her apology on radio, Television, or on any other public platform.

Prior to Yvonne’s nicodemous visit to Salam, peacefmonline had asked the renowned Film Producer what will make him forgive her to which he replied, “I don’t have anything against her, we are still friends but I can only forgive her after the ban is over, because that is what we as producers have agreed on,” he told Eugene Osafo-Nkansah (Entertainment Reporter peacefmonline).

He added that since the decision to place a ban on Yvonne was not a unilateral one, he has to consult the Producers Association and all the relevant stakeholders before anything could be done.

However, a source has hinted peacefmonline that a desperate Yvonne has agreed to render a public apology to Abdul Salam. The “Princess Tyra” actress, according to a close confidant, has promised to organize a press conference sometime in the near future and say “sorry” to Alhaji Abdul Salam.

Meanwhile, reports say the actresses’ woes keep on deepening as more and more producers who have suffered similar fate under her hands have filed complaints with the Producers Association about her intolerant attitude. The latest producer to complain about the actress is Mahmuda Sally, CEO of Muda Films, producer of “Kiss Me If You Can”.

For now, the fate of the sexy actress is unknown but the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) still insist that she has been banned for a year.

Yvonne was banned last October for an alleged incident of gross misconduct and rudeness to the cast and crew on set during the filming of a new Venus Films movie “4Play Reloaded”, when she virtually attacked Abdul Salam, Roger Quartey and others verbally.

Her bone of contention was that Jackie Appiah had been given permission to absent herself and be a guest judge at the 2010 Miss Malaika Finals, eventhough she (Jackie) was suppose to shoot a particular scene with her (Yvonne) on that day.

Yvonne therefore refused to partake in any further shooting for the movie after the said incident, in spite of the fact that she had been paid fully for the role.

Her one year ban effectively expires in October 2011.

      • @matilda from denmark,

No offense Matilda including Nancy. If you say people are happy over Yvonne interdict ban situation then you’re out of the line. Matter of fact if you read most of my comments on the news threat Chris and his company post you will notice I’m one of the Yvonne Nelson biggest fan. I sometimes go head to head with most of the folks here including the guy above (Osei) over Yvonne’s critics. Yvonne Nelson disorderly behavior was not acceptable and I think Abdul Sallam should not reconcile with her bad manners.

Nevertheless, I’ve been reading the blog and listen to the radio regarding about the ban situation and most folks trying to include Jackie Appiah in these mess should get a GRIP. According to the Mr. Sallam himself, Jackie did ask for permission which I believe was professional habit to do.

Like I said we love Yvonne Nelson but the BAN should stand. Remember that everyone should accept his or her accountabilities and I hope she learn her LESSON.

There is no need for a ban, if she had a stinking attitude why do dey continue using her lanky ass self in movies? dey could have simply not use her and her she will go away with her 15 mins of fame. Goosh Africans. They r not her parents u know and dey shouldnt give a damn abt her, y all dis fuss???? IF U ASK ME DIS IS ALL UNNECESSARY.

  9. GC, what is this fixation with trying to bring the girl down. most of the people you claim are her defenders condemmed her behavior if it actually hapened. What got peole pissed off is the angle brought in by Jackie’s fans that she is not her mate so could not complain abt the favouritism given to Jackie. If u look at the comments now, you can see that people are bringing in the Jackie angle again. Leave the poor girl alone. This thing about this not being her first time does not fly. If her attitude is that bad as Sallam wants us to believe, why did he keep using her until now? Is that an admission on the part of Sallam and other producers that she is a good actress? I think there is more to this story than Sallam and GC are letting on. Why is Sallam refusing the apology and insisting on a public apology. was the said behavior public or private? Since he was the one (ably assisted by GC) who brought the whole issue to the public domain, if she has apologised, the honourable thing for him to do (if he has no other motives) is to accept the apology and tell the public. to me, there is something more to it, like Fred Amugi will say, there is something in the soup!

    • @kwadwo, I WONDER , AND THEY THINK JACKIE IS A SPIRIT? ITS THIS GC AND OTHER MEDIA WHO ARE BENT ON DESTROYING YVONNE OR CAN IT BE THAT JACKIE PAID THEM IN OTHER FOR HER TO GAIN THE FAVOURITISM OF THE MASSES, BECAUSE IT IS ONLY JACKIE WHO MOSTLY GETS POSITIVE HEADLINES HERE ,ITS STRANGE , EVEN WHEN LYDIA NAA AND JACKIE WON THE AMAA GC SINGLED JACKIE AS THE ONLY RECEIPIENT UNTIL LATER CAME TO CLEAR THE AIR ,KNOWING FROM THE ONSET THAT THEY WON THE AWARD TOGETHER. ITS A PITY HOW THEY HAVE MAKE SOME STARS THEIR TARGET.

  10. We shouldn´t forget that, the downfall of a Man is not the end of his Life. Whether she has been ban 4 a yr or not. She shall rise again. U ppl keep complaining she is childish, now she has acted as a mature person and render apology. Whether it will be accepted or not, she did it and that makes her a peacemaker and at da same time a free woman. We shouldn´t also forget, since we r human conflicts is inevitable and we shall always make mistake. Learning from your mistakes and admitting them, made most ppl, country well advanced. So she will definitely rise up 4 da better. I might not be her fan bt i am in no position to judge her. Because in every individuals´
actions, there is a reason behind!

  12. My question is was Yvonne told about Jackie’s absent on that faithful day………???????????? Maybe if Yvonne was told about Jackie’s absent then she wouldn’t have behave in that manner. As professional as Mumuni calls himself he should’ve told Yvonne that day Jackie asked for the permission to be absent. I think Mumuni is at fault too.

    • @Adwoa, dont mind those who are taking sides blindly because according to the first story dated 21st oct it says yvonne asked roger quartey when it was approaching night about why she has been on LOCATION and ALMIGHTY JACKIE HAS NOT SHOWN UP FOR DAYS, SO IT IS NOT A ONE DAY SO CALLED MALAIKA AFFAIR ;LET THEM LEAVE THE INDUSTRY FOR JACKIE ALONE TO PLAY ALL THE PARTS WHAT IS ALL THAT?

      • @caro, Thanks Caro & Kwadwo…….
I really don’t understand these people. Abdul Salam Mumuni and his Venus Film crew can go ahead and cast Jackie for their useless and pointless movies. I mean who is Mumuni to even talk………..????? It’s not like Jackie is a better actor than Yvonne anyway.

Please don’t stress Miss Nelson……….just take the time off and travel or just relax and enjoy your life. You’ll always be my fan and I will always support you.
