The show last nyt wasnt that good, but i co-sign with mimi, either ama or stephanie could have won n i would have been fine.they both did really well
The show was good, but come on…these girls can not answer the question who is an African……..i am disappointed.
I guess they were confused and nervous. It sounds like an easy question.
congrats gurl..we proud of u so much..enjoy ur money,de car n de other items included in ur package..
i could tell she was gonna win. everyone on this site was mentioning her name
Congrats to the Motown girl.
Congrats to Ama even though she wasn’t able to nail the final question the way a queen shd but come to think of it none of the gals could… A real shame if you ask me. It was just pathetic, I kept hoping one of them would listen well and attempt it but nobody could. So I’ve been wondering was the question just too complicated or our young Ghanaian women are not just not smart enough. The question was and I’m paraphrasing here… What makes a person an African, is it the color of their skin or their country of birth? Now the problem with all of the gals were the fact that nobody even attempted to choose one if the options given and elaborate as was required, there were too busy being philosophical wholes the answers had been provided for them. So I tried to answer the question myself and my answer was what makes an African is the person’s country of birth because the country’s beliefs, norms, traditions, language is what shapes a person into being what they really are that’s how come white south Africans can call themselves Africans and several other whites across the globe claim to be Africans because they’ve been born and bred into africanism. Same way not every mojo or AMA around the world somewhere is an African because they don’t know the first thing about Africa. Just some food for thought people. What do you think makes an African?
Oh, i see.thanks for telling us what exactly happened.
@Theresa, lets face it your country of birth does not make you a citizen of that country. i will be hard press if you tell me you are a Japanese because you were born in Japan or a Chinese because you were born in China. Once Heritage qualifies them for a citizen than just a birth in a particular country. By Heritage i mean a set of beliefs, shared values, shared ideas, shared tradition, shared ancestry and a shared world view. If we should go by your definition, Ghanaian parents who have kids outside Ghana, even in close countries such as Togo and Ivory coast would automatically cease to be Ghanaians. Africa as we know it is home to diverse ethnic groups and different colors of people. in any event my children who were not born in Ghana, but have been to Ghana many times over, tag and see their selves as Ghanaians.
berlinda was so robbed, but its ghana we dey so we understand
@onion,
u paa even if u said stephanie i would understand
@AKOS, why do u want me to side with u are u serious opinions are like noses we all are entitled to one so akos be steady
seriously i didn’t want ama to win the competition but congratulations to her…she proved to be smarter than all the girls…stephanie couldn’t have won simply because ama answered the question better than her…the minute she mentioned that being african doesn’ t go for blacks only put her on the map…so kudos to ama…as for berla, belinda, and perpetual die3, all i gotta say is WOW…and perpetual couldn’t have won because she only wanted the money, the car and all the other goodies…so its serves her right…and perpetual’s answer was the worst among them all….aaaahhhhh….but congrats Ama…u’ve made ur family and the whole ghana proud…congrats stephanie tooo…
so funny girl,lol
the main reason ama won was because she was the only person that attempted to answer the question in the context it was given, the rest dierr oh no
stephanie tried but her answer although it was gud didnt saty in the context of the question
@ theresa, i agree perfectly with your description of an african…but past questions are always easy u know….lol
i’m sure the girls were just too nervous under the circumstances of the time…
you deserve the crown
