My morning was met with torrential laughter when I read that top-USA based Ghanaian Film Producer/Director Leila Djansi plans on using Ghanaian singer Becca for her next moving after “Sinking Sands”.
Leila Djansi’s ability to make something out of nothing is colossal, heavily overlaid with her creative prowess but I would openly throw a bag of advice to my honourable “friend” Leila Djansi to quickly scratch any idea to “lead-role” Becca in her next movie.
We have enough talentless actresses without any clue as to what they have to do on screens. All efforts to impeach the delusional minds of these talentless actresses to give up acting and find another career have been unsuccessful. We do not therefore have the resources to fight new ones such as Becca.
I like Becca’s music but her stage craft is far below average. If home girl cannot even perform well to her own wonderful songs and command her audience who sits not far from her, what good can she bring to a character written by another to be performed by her to distant viewers?
Some of us have had enough of musicians who have not achieve main stream success in their known field and yet keep jumping to other acts. Becca has auditioned herself several times on stage since the inception of her music career and we are all witnesses to her poor acting skills.
As much as we are worried about talentless actresses on our screens, we cannot play part in seeing the excellent ones being put under extinction for lack of roles. There are some good actresses there who can do justice to scripts. Give it to one of them and don’t feed my poor TV with another bad nut, it is almost broken for the existing ones.
