My Alma Mater “Adisadel College” is 100 years and it is not just 100 years of existence but 100 years of excellence, productivity and development. I wouldn’t be writing on this site or even had the initiative to start this had it not been Adisadel College.
I cannot therefore in my little world of blogging let it’s centenary celebration pass without writing a single post on this subject.
Adisadel College is one of the oldest modern educational institutions for boys in Africa. It was established and modeled as a typical English Public School on the 4th, January, 1910.
It was originally named S.P.G. (Society for the Propagation of the Gospel) Grammar School and later renamed-St. Nicholas’ Grammar school. It finally became Adisadel College when it moved to the hills, its current location at Adisadel Village, Cape Coast in Ghana.
It’s 100 years of existence has equipped Ghana with great leaders, politicians, scholars and entertainers. At the Grand Durbar held at the school’s campus last weekend, Musician/Actor/Freedom Boy Wanlov Da Kubolor passed through to pay homage to his Alma Mater.
Apart from Kubolor, Adisadel College has inter alia, produced great entertainers like Mensa Ansah (formally of LifeLine Family), the late Terrry Bonchaka, T-Blaze, young showbiz reporter Ameyaw Debrah and others.
I am proud to be part of the Santaclausian Family. Long Live Adisadel College, Long Live my Alma Mater. Below are photos of Wanlov Da Kubolor at Adisadel College Grand Durbar.
