Ghana’s Black Stars maintained their position on the FIFA/Coca Cola world rankings, keeping the 27th position they held from the last rankings released in August.
The ranking leaves Ghana third in Africa, behind Algeria, (19 ), and African Champions Cote d’Ivoire (21).
Tunisia (33) and Senegal (38) round up the five highest ranked sides in Africa.
Globally, Argentina maintained their hold at the top of the rankings, ahead of Belgium and world champions Germany. Columbia and Brazil are 4th and 5th respectively. Elsewhere, Wales (9), moved ahead of England (10) for the first time in the rankings.
The Black Stars would have a chance to improve their position in next month’s rankings, with an AFCON qualifier coming up against the Amavubi of Rwanda this Saturday.
