Shieeee! Wow! See how time flies! All too soon the time we’ve all been waiting for is here, the Waakye Party has chalked a milestone. July this year will be exactly a year ago since the official launch of the Waakye group which kick started the first Waakye Party organized.

One thing that identifies people is the food they eat and waakye is a popular food in Ghana enjoyed by all and sundry irrespective of one’s tribe. Waakye is a popular Ghanaian food, sold everywhere in the country. It can be eaten anytime of the day.

Waakye is rich in protein, essential vitamins, magnesium, and other micronutrients that keep us healthy. It is also a low fat meal, provided too much oil is not included during preparation.

The Waakye Group was originally initiated with the sole objective of promoting a Ghanaian delicacy and creating a platform for people from all walks of life to meet, socialize have fun and network.

After the very first edition of the waakye party, which took place on 27th July, 2009 at Auntie Muni, a popular waakye seller inside Labone, there has been three separate waakye parties including the pre-anniversary party on 1st May 2010.

Secondly, the party will take place on Sunday July 4, no match day from the on going World Cup, this means you don’t have any reason to not be around.

It’s now Zain Waakye Party as a result of title sponsorship and powered by Event Gear.
