Shieeee! Wow! See how time flies! All too soon the time we’ve all been waiting for is here, the Waakye Party has chalked a milestone. July this year will be exactly a year ago since the official launch of the Waakye group which kick started the first Waakye Party organized.
One thing that identifies people is the food they eat and waakye is a popular food in Ghana enjoyed by all and sundry irrespective of one’s tribe. Waakye is a popular Ghanaian food, sold everywhere in the country. It can be eaten anytime of the day.
Waakye is rich in protein, essential vitamins, magnesium, and other micronutrients that keep us healthy. It is also a low fat meal, provided too much oil is not included during preparation.
The Waakye Group was originally initiated with the sole objective of promoting a Ghanaian delicacy and creating a platform for people from all walks of life to meet, socialize have fun and network.
After the very first edition of the waakye party, which took place on 27th July, 2009 at Auntie Muni, a popular waakye seller inside Labone, there has been three separate waakye parties including the pre-anniversary party on 1st May 2010.
GhanaCelebrities.com gathered that the anniversary edition will come with a lot of uniqueness; the party has been moved from Auntie Muni’s joint to a more spacious venue, Aviation Social Centre. Secondly, the party will take place on Sunday July 4, no match day from the on going World Cup, this means you don’t have any reason to not be around.
It’s now Zain Waakye Party as a result of title sponsorship and powered by Event Gear.
Side Attractions includes **Sing Along **Basket Ball **Tennis **Volley **Follow Your Leader **Balloon Burst **Pick the Beans **Punch Competition **Swaggerfest **Pool Table **Cards **Draughts **Video Games.

WE DON’T WANT AUNTY MUNI WAAKYE IN LABONE!!!!!!WE DON’T WANT HER IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD!!!!SHE BRINGS CRIME, NOISE, UNRULY BEHAVIOR INTO OUR RESIDENTIAL AREA! THEY’RE VERY DISRESPECTFUL TO THE NEIGHBORS, NOISY AND WHEN NEIGHBORS COMPLAIN, THEY FIGHT, THROW STONES N THREATEN TO KILL. THEY REFUSE TO MOVE AND CLAIM THEY’VE CONTACTS IN GHANA WHO’LL PROTECT THEM. WHAT CRAP! IF WE TRULY LIVE IN A CIVILIZED SOCIETY, THEN WHY IS SHE CONTINUING TO GET AWAY WITH THIS NUISANCE IN LABONE? AUNTY MUNI WAAKYE IS ENCROACHING ON GOVERNMENT LAND AND THREATENING NEIGHBORS WHO PAY PROPERTY TAXES !Aunty Muni Waakye is a BITCH!!! It’s been purported that she uses all manner of juju to sell her waakye which doesn’t taste good. IF ONLY U HAD AN IDEA OF THE UNHYGIENIC MANNER IN WHICH THE FOOD IS PREPARED, U WOULDN’T BE TOUTING IT. NO WONDER HER FOOD POISENED PEOPLE ABOUT 6 YEARS AGO! WHAT DID FOOD N DRUGS BOARD DO ABOUT IT? WHAT DID THE POLICE AND THE COURTS DO ABOUT IT? RUN AWAY FROM THEM! WE DON’T WANT AUNTY MUNI WAAKYE IN LABONE PERIOD!!! AUNTY MUNI BETTER RENT A PROPER RESTAURANT SPACE, PAY SOME RENT MONEY AND PROPER SETUP FEES TO VARIOUS DEPARTMENT AND OPERATE HER RESTAURANT IN A RESPONSIBLE MANNER. HOW CAN SOMEONE WHOSE FOOD HAS POISONED OTHERS CONTINUE TO OPERATE? WHERE’S FOOD AND DRUGS BOARD ???MOVE SOMEWHERE ELSE WITH YOUR TROUBLES AUNTY MUNI WAAKYE…ALL THE NEIGHBORS N LABONE RESIDENTS DON’T WANT U THERE!!!!………AND IF U DON’T MOVE, WE’LL FORCE U OUT THROUGH WHICHEVER MEANS NECESSARY UNDER THE LAW
