At the surprise celebrity-filled finale of the maiden edition of ‘Talented Kids’ reality TV series, actress Jackie Appiah offered a year’s with of scholarship to two of the contestants on the show. According to the actress, she had been watching the talent search on TV3 and had observed that those two kids were huge fans of her work. She will make an official presentation of the educational package to the selected kids later in the year. Jackie also presented gift hampers to all the finalists on the show.
Other celebrities at finale included Great Ampong, Slim Busterr and Sarkodie, who performed alongside perhaps his number one protégée, Awwal Mohammed. Talented Kids, is a reality TV concept developed to unearth Ghanaian talents at a very young age. Contestants over the period of the series showcased tremendous amounts of talent in the areas of dancing, playing musical instruments, singing/rapping among others.
Awwal Mohammed came third, winning 1,000 cedis, a laptop computer and prizes from sponsors. In the second position was Awurabena Agyemang-Badu who took home 2,000 cedis, a laptop and prizes from sponsors. The ultimate winner was young Emmanuel Asiedu. He won 3,000 cedis, a laptop, and a two-way ticket to the UK as well as products from sponsors.
