Ace comedian and movie actor Kofi Adu, popularly known as Agya Koo, is seeking police protection after receiving what he describes as a death threatening messages and phone calls from unknown people.
Agya Koo, who has been in the limelight promoting Ghanaian movies, is set to stage a mass demonstration in Kumasi next week against the production and sale of local pornographic movies.
The national award winner bemoans the high rate at which pornographic movies are promoted in the country and thinks an urgent measure needs be to put in place to curb the situation.
He says even though government and other agencies are doing their best to address the issue, he feels the onus lie on actors and actresses to take up the crusade.
He was speaking in an interview with Nhyira Fm’s Kofi Asante.
Even though he feels unsecured, Agya Koo says he would not be detracted by any one to stop the demonstration.

that’s a good question ghallday. Someone around him is playing a part. That’s all I can say. This is clearly threats coming from outside and someone around Agya has to be helpingin coordinating the effort. As the old akan saying goes “aboabi eka woa, na efiri wo ntoma mu”. Agya koo is good in the Akan movies. I didn’t even know they sell more than the ‘sex-filled non-sense these US producers are putting into the market.
On the other hand, I don’t honestly think Agya could partake in these new ‘english’ movies scheme because of the language barrier. But to use remote intimidation to stop the man from his shinning is just a cowards behavior. Stand tall and fight them Agya. We’re behind you.

True that. Well known public figures like him should have their cell numbers protected somehow. He is rich and can use 2 or 3 phones. His personl number shouldn’t be known by even extrended family members. Until he does these things he will keep receiving death threats on text and in voice.
hey you guys are confused- i think. from my own point of view, those death threats are not just from common people ooh. They are from the so called ‘porn producers’ (who has probably worked with agya koo bf)
A person like agya koo can’t hide his phone number. he may have more than four diff numbers but it doesn’t matter which number he receives the threats from(they are equally harmful)… the porn producers don’t want him to embark on the demonstration.
