If you didn’t know, now you know D-Black and Kwaku T are one of the best Hip Hop artiste to spring out of Ghana rapping in the queen’s language so fluently.

“Kwaku T and I are the first english spitting rappers to be nominated for Ghana Music Awards” said D-Black.

It is not strange that the pair had a nomination in the Ghana Music Awards. The duo is nominated in the HipLife/Hip Hop Song of the Year category with their track ‘Breathe’. But the nomination happens to be their first ever nominations in the GMAs.

Rather calm looking D-Black revealed to GhanaCelebrities.com “This is our first nomination, our first ever nomination, I think this year the music is changed, so definitely our nomination is a step in the right direction”.

And their chances of picking that award?

This is what D-Black has to say to GhanaCelebrities.Com in a chit chat. “Its actually history made, Ghana has never got an English Hip Hop artiste nominated for an awards so me D-Black personally, I think it’s history in the making, it has never happened before and by the grace of God, we are winning it”

Also in the Hip/Hip Hop Song of the Year are ‘Kaseibo’ by Obrafour, ‘The Game’ by Obour, ‘Ring Tone’ by Tinny, ‘You Dey Craze’ by Ayigbe Edem and ‘Baby’ by Sarkodie.

Meanwhile Kwaku T is also nominated in the Best Rapper of the Year category alongside artistes who are more Hip Life. They are Sarkodie, Obrafour, Ayigbe Edem, Bradez (Stone) and Tinny.

The Ghana Music Awards 2010 is slated to be taken place at  Dome inside the Accra International Conference, Accra on Saturday 10th April, 2010.
