Following the article on the reasons men may resort to cheating, here is the second part of the article featuring the signs that may indicate that your man is cheating, and what to do if you discover that your man has been cheating on you.
Ladies, there are several different ways to tell if your man is cheating on you- some may be more obvious than others. Check out these tips below. However, let me just say that if your man is doing one or more of the actions listed below, it does not necessarily mean they’re cheating. Therefore, I beg you to avoid any unnecessary drama:
- Pointless arguing- This may be his way of telling you he’s not interested anymore OR, due to his lover on the side, anything you do may begin to annoy him, therefore creating pointless arguments.
- Threats- Ladies, you know in arguments when you say “it’s over” or “don’t make give me a reason to dump you” in the heat of the moment, well, some cheaters may say this and use it as a cowardly attempt to get out of the relationship.
- Staying out late- One of the most obvious signs. He may come up with the “I was just hanging with my boys” excuse, but if this begins to happen to frequently, then something is surely not right and he needs to be confronted.
- Longer hours at work- Is it really longer hours at work, or longer hours somewhere else? If you think something is up, call up his workplace and check if he really is there – it may be snooping but at least you’ll be getting some much needed answers.
- Appearance and lifestyle changes- if he’s spending even more time at the gym when he couldn’t even be bothered before then maybe he’s going all out to impress someone else. If he’s started wearing aftershave when he didn’t use to before, then he’s trying to impress someone else. If he started taking more pride in the way he looks then he is definitely trying to impress someone else.
Ok, so with all these tips comes the big questions, what should you do if you discover that your man is cheating on you?
Right, well if every woman was like me, there would only be a few simple steps of confrontation:
- Beat him down
- Throw him and his things outside with the rest of the trash (even if it is his house- he’s the one who decided to creep around like a rat so he deserves to stay outside).
However, I am well aware of the fact that not every woman is short-tempered like me, and I also understand that in some situations, it really is not that simple to walk away- either because you have kids together, or have been married for such a long time. Either way, here are a few sensible ways in which to confront your man if you suspect him of cheating:
- Ask him upfront- Sit him down and confront him about your suspicions, why you have these suspicions, and also any proof you may have. Obviously, he can easily lie to you but ladies, you should know your man well enough to know when he’s lying to you, or trust your female intuition.
- Present him with some concrete proof- Perhaps you found an incriminating piece of evidence like a hotel booking receipt for a weekend when he was supposed to be visiting his mum or something – lay it infront of him and ask him to explain himself. Through his body language and the way he speaks, you should be able to instantly tell whether you’ve caught him out in a lie or not.
- Working things out- If you have kids with the person, or you’ve been in a relationship for a long time, walking away is not such an easy option. Try and talk to him- it may not be the easiest thing in the world to do, especially after finding out he’s been unfaithful- however, some things are worth fighting for. Talk to him and find out why he cheated- what did he want or need that he felt you couldn’t give him. Both of you should then come to a common ground about how best to move forward with your relationship, and avoid any future infidelities from occurring.
