I have been familiar with the whole Dela-Essien-Nadia triangle for quite some time now. Matter of fact,I considered dedicating an entire article to the ongoing fiasco in the past. For a long time, I resisted the nagging urge to honor this mess a space on my hard drive, let alone waste my precious energy writing an article on it. What prompted me to finally give in to the urge is that the whole fiasco has taken a turn for the worst. Contrary to what was reported earlier, it was Dela who took Essien to court and not the other way round. Dela recently dragged Essien to court over failing to compensate her after “their divorce.” DIVORCE!? Hold on a minute, when did the alleged nuptial take place?
Obviously, there may be more to this story as there are more sides to every story. In the beginning, I sympathized with Dela. Of course it hurts to be scorned, especially by someone you deeply care about; it becomes even more painful when everything is played out in the public eye. However, whatever dignity Dela had throughout this saga is now in shreds given her recent behavior. Her behavior irks me beyond reason; it appears she has this sense of entitlement to Essien’s money. Sometimes, I get the inkling the law she is studying in London triggers her sometimes erratic and irrational behavior, but then there may be other ulterior motives; could it be greed? Desperation? Vengeance? What is it?
I find it very appalling when an educated woman with the means to live a fairly financially independent life sees a man as an easy meal ticket. Why it is that, some women don’t want to fend for themselves, but see men as their ATM machine? I find it very sickening indeed. At times, I don’t blame some men when they look down on women. A self-sufficient educated woman should take pride in herself and not subject herself to such degradation.
Speaking from a soft spot (pardon the sarcasm), Veralie Dela Ackumey -you are one crazy girl! Are you kidding me? Dela-knocking does not equal Marriage!!!!! You are making a laughing stock of yourself. Yes! It is understandable that you are deeply hurt, and to be publicly dumped for someone lighter than you are makes it even worst-one of the biggest humiliations ever (ouch!). You claimed he cheated on you several times; obviously, a man who dealt your heart such blows by disrespecting you in such an awful manner does not deserve you. You’ve had a taste of the glamorous life, but its’ all over now-LET-IT-GO. It especially hurts knowing you were there before he actually hit the jackpot and all, please read my lips THAT-DUDE-IS-NOT-WORTH-IT!

Dear Cassie this article is 100% on point, u called a spade a spade. Its pple like Dela that gives guys reason to keep treating women badly, thanks…..love the article.
Dear writer, first of all, I thank God for the knowledge he implanted into the hearts of the founding fathers of England. Do you understand why our great african women are always treated as second class citizens? People like you ar ethe ones whom I believe rally for that unfair treatment. I support Dela to drag him to any lenght to get what she deserves. There is something called commom marriage or domestic patners and that is what u needed to have researched before publishing this article.
