The captain who made a historic landing of Airbus A380 on the tarmac of the $250 million newly built Terminal in an interview with the Chairman General, Kwame Sefa-Kayi on Peace FM disclosed that if not for his school father, late Jerry John Owu (Koforidua Sec Tech) and Nicholas Sarpong, his dream of becoming a pilot wouldn’t have materialised.

He narrated that his friends used to laugh at him anytime he shared his dream of becoming a pilot because of his poor family financial background ─but the prayers of his school father and his friend kept his dream alive.

Captain Solomon Quainoo again disclosed that he had to work as a labourer at construction sites, a cleaner and food service delivery at a point in his life ─all geared towards achieving his dream of becoming a pilot.
