Shatta Wale Lying About The Amount He Charges For Shows — Eazzy Attacks

Eazzy

Most at times when musicians come out to talk about how they charge for shows, you hear gargantuan sums which makes you feel they must be so freaking ‘dorsted’ and that they don’t need anything else in this life.
However, according to one of their own, Eazzy, most of the artists are lying when they make such assertions.
The singer, born Mildred Ashong, said she has never received such an amount for a show thus cannot confirm when artists like Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale or Medikal claim that how much they make for a show.
However, she added, they should stop lying and speak the truth because they can’t claim to be making all that money then later on be soliciting for funds for a video shoot or for changes to the music industry to make them more money.

“I haven’t received GH¢90,000 or GH¢100,000 from anybody and I haven’t seen anyone or seen a contract that says that with any of my colleagues so I can’t say that for sure.” she said when asked if she believes artists who say they make that much.
“But if someone has gotten that amount, that’s great, that perfect, but I haven’t received a Ghc 100,000 so I can’t come and sit here and say that I have. From who?,” she queried.
“Sometimes we have to speak the truth. I feel like the industry is calling for help from DJs, event and corporate Ghana and all, but we don’t speak the truth. So if you are there saying you get paid a Ghc 150,000 per a show and somebody is expecting you to do something with your brand, like be able to shoot about three videos in Nigeria and you come and complain that you can’t, then it’s crazy.
“Let the truth be told that as artistes we are not making money the way we are supposed to make in our pockets so that the government can also put in place laws that can help us in terms of royalty placements.” she added.
