Kwaku Bonsam Appeals For Land For National Shrine To Be Built

Nana Kwaku Bonsam

With the debate over the construction of a National Cathedral now thrown into the dustbin as the President already wholeheartedly supports its construction, others are also now calling for help from government to construct their religious monument.
Nana Kwaku Bonsam, in an interview with Kasapa Fm, said the idol worshippers in the land also need their own land to construct a national shrine.
Criticism of the National Cathedral is met with the rebuttal that government is not using taxpayer money to build it; but an obvious rebuttal is that they are providing prime real estate in the capital and are footing the bill to relocate public servants who were placed there at significant cost to the taxpayer.

Since that is the precedent Kwaku Bonsam is now also calling for the traditionalists to be given a piece of land at the Asomdwee park to construct their shrine.
Bonsam said: “We make a passionate appeal to President Akufo Addo, to give us a land where late President Mills was buried, the Asomdwee Park will be a perfect location for us to build our National Shrine. That will be a strategic location for our shrine, we need a place very close to the sea so that we can be dealing frequently with Maame Water, to aid us in our spiritual exercises. We earnestly hope that our appeal to the President for the land will be granted.”
