Just over a week after several top executives including Shirley Frimpong Manso stepped down from the company, TV Africa is set to suspend all it’s on-air programming except news.
The company, still cash strapped despite a much hyped ‘rebranding’ effort carried out earlier this year, is unable to pay workers and meet operating costs.
According to Starrfmonline, Ideal Groupe, the owners of the station, have communicated to management that they are unable to continue paying worker salaries.
Workers of the company have reportedly not been paid for the past few months.
After we reported Shirley Frimpong Manso resigned due to the inability of the company to pay workers, TV Africa denied it – but subsequent events have proven that denial hollow.
Thus from Monday, September 3rd, TV Africa would suspend all it’s on-air programming except it’s news programs.
