Popular South African hip-hop sensation, born Kiernan Jarryd Forbes and known in showbiz as AKA, has lamented over the bad patronage of his songs even though he has a lot of followers on his social media pages.
AKA who could not understand why he has a huge following and yet low earnings from his music took to his social media handle and challenged his fans to prove their loyalty to him.
He posted, “I have 3.3 million followers, why don’t I sell at least a million???… let me tell you why… coz like 500k of you are like ACTUAL fans, the rest of y’all full of dog shit, walking around like I owe you something.
“3.3 million followers and it takes me weeks to get to 40/50k sales…Where yall at? What are yall doing?!!…I’d rather have 50k hardcore fans than have 3.3 million fake ones,” he posted.

The artiste defending his post on Twitter in an interview on Cosmopolitan Mix with Sammy Forson said;
“In South Africa and all over the world, records sales are not what they used to be, so I’m thinking to myself, I’ve got 3.4 million, so why don’t I have 3.4 million albums sold.
“You support not just by tweeting or liking or commenting but by buying”.
