Ghanaian gospel musician, born Christina Love and known popularly in the music circles as Obaapa Christy has “cried out” that Ghanaians support musicians who do secular music than the ones doing gospel music.
The gospel singer, speaking in an interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Show with Andy Dosty stated that the gospel music industry is not on the verge of collapsing as many are claiming but rather the gospel artistes are finding it difficult to survive.
She explained that this hardship being faced by Ghanaian gospel artistes is because of how Ghanaians are more interested in hyping secular musicians than gospel musicians.
