Founding Editor of GhanaCelebrities.Com, Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri, has called out President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo following recent comments he passed about the University of Ghana.
President Nana Akufo-Addo had passed comments to the effect that the University of Ghana was founded by his uncle, the late J.B Danquah, and coming on the heels of the renaming of the University of Professional Studies after its founder, it was speculated that the government could be considering renaming the university after J.B Danquah.
That, coupled with the recent renaming of the Flagstaff House and other own goals scored by government in recent months, led Chris-Vincent to take on the President, who he admitted to having campaigned for.
Accoridng to Chris, the kind of governance the NPP are giving Ghanaians now is not what was expected when John Mahama was kicked out.
Akufo-Addo was seen as a man of integrity and principle but for and all intents and purposes, he’s turning out no better than Mahama.
He wrote…
I campaigned for President Akufo Addo–some were paid gigs and others, I did for free because I believed in him.
I believed the Mahama-led government was a joke, incompetent at best and ridiculous at worst.
My campaign for Nana Addo and the NPP which I believe was the same for many was of hope–that he was going to deliver on the various promises.
