Ebony Told Me She Needed Only Two Years To Become A Hit In The Music Industry — Nana Opoku Kwarteng On Why He Allowed Her To Drop Out School

What Ebony managed to achieve in her short career was remarkable, and although Ghanaians constantly criticized her when she was alive many people didn’t realize that behind the short skirts and twerking butt was a driven and determined professional.
Ebony was not only incredibly talented but massively hardworking as well. To cap it all off she had an iron will to achieve whatever she set her mind to.
As many of us know she dropped out of senior high to pursue her dreams in the music industry. People have wondered how her father could have allowed her to do so but it turns out Ebony knew exactly what she was doing.
In a recent interview, Nana Opoku Kwarteng revealed that he initially did not agree to his daughter’s will to drop out of school as he wanted her to become a lawyer. However, he said she begged him to give her only two years and if she didn’t make it, she’ll go back to school.

“Ebony told me to give her just two years to go into music but I did not agree because I wanted her to be a lawyer.” he said on Kofi TV.
“After sometime, I agreed because she assured me she will go back to school so I did not even go for her things in her Senior High School” he added.
Ebony turned out to be right and she became a household name in those two years and was well on her way to becoming the biggest talent in Ghana for the next decade when she met her untimely demise.
