A Ghanaian family has been hit by an unimaginable tragedy, with their 6 year old child contracting leukaemia.
Ehren Yaw Afrifa, a student at the Christ the King Preparatory School in Accra, was diagnosed with the illness in August last year and has been receiving treatment at the Korle-Bu teaching Hospital since.
Despite the time that has passed since his diagnosis, doctors at the hospital have not been able to make progress with his condition, and recommended in December that he be flown to the U.S for treatment.
With the money already spent by the family, they are in deep trouble and Ehren could lose his life if they don’t get the money to complete his treatment.
To help raise the necessary funds, the family has started a Go Fund Me to raise at least $100,000, which they hope could cover the treatment.
The family now needs YOUR help to raise the money, which you can do by visiting the Go Fund Me page at this link.
For those in Ghana unable to donate through GoFundMe, you can donate through MTN Mobile Money to the number 024 461 5652. (Name on account is Akwasi Afrifa)
Anything one can give would be appreciated and would go a long way towards saving this little boy’s life.
