The Second Lady Samira Bawumia has commented on the condition of her husband, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, for the first time since he got sick and was flown to the UK on medical leave.
Little has been heard about the Veep’s condition or even whether he’s responding to treatment or not, but Samira has now provided a healthy update.
According to her, Bawumia is responding well to treatment and should be returning to work very soon.
She also thanked all who have prayed for Dr Bawumia’s recovery or sent him their well wishes.
The Vice President was taken ill about a week ago and was later flown to the U.K ‘upon the advice of his doctors’, the flagstaff house announced.
He was accompanied on the trip by Samira.
