A suspected gang of armed robbers attacked the Kwabenya District Police Headquarters, which accommodates the Kwabenya Police Station, on Sunday dawn and killed an officer on duty and let out the cell inmates. According to Citi News, the “number of inmates who were freed is not immediately known, as the police is yet to make an official statement on the matter.”
The Police at the Kwabenya District Police Headquarters is reported to be in a state of shock over the incident.
Citi News’ Caleb Kudah, who visited the station reported of blood stains on the floor.
