President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo despite his busy schedules has been following the progress of the Ghana Music industry, he has really been listening to songs from both old and new artistes.
The President at the recently held MUSIGA Presidential Grand Ball disclosed to guests at the event that he has been listening to songs by highlife legends such as C.K Mann, Amakye Dede, Daddy Lumba, Paapa Yankson, Gyedu Blay Ambulley and the likes.
The President does not only listen to highlife but also loves listening to hiplife as well, the Ruler added that he has been paying attention to the progress of some hiplife artistes and he likes how great they are doing to improve the music industry.

His Excellency Nana Addo further stated that the likes of Samini, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Edem, D-black and the newly risen artistes like Kidi, Fancy Gadam, Kuami Eugene, Ebony and Becca are all doing well to the betterment of the entertainment industry.

It was on the night when Legendary Paapa Yankson’s musical instrument was auctioned for Ghc100,000 as well as fundraising to help veteran musicians with their upkeep.
