Now the highlife legend’s Flute, Trumpet and a framed photograph were auctioned for  Ghc100,000 on Friday at the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) Presidential Ball.

Ewurama Badu’s guitar was also auctioned at Ghc30,000 with the aim of raising funds to meet the needs of old and retired musicians in the country, Bice Osei Kufour–Obour explained the move to the guests.
Papa Yankson played a vital role in the formation of the Western Diamonds Band but left and joined Golden Nuggets Band after two years. He died in July 2017 after a short illness.
