The Black Stars of Ghana have moved up to number 50 in the world on the latest released Fifa/Coca Cola world rankings.
Ghana moves one place up from 51st in the November rankings, and also finishes the year as the 8th top ranked team on the continent.
Egypt, who beat Ghana to qualification to the 2018 Fifa World Cup, finish the year as the third best team on the continent. Senegal and Tunisia are top two on the continent whilst Congo DR and Morocco round out the top five.
Globally, Germany are the best ranked team in the world; followed by Brazil, Argentina, Portugal and Belgium.
