Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has commended Islamic authorities in the country for staunchly standing against any spirit of gayism which wants to enter Ghana.
Simultaneously, he’s attacked pastors in the country, saying some of them are gay and are therefore not willing to stand against the moral decay of homos*xuality.
The issue of gay rights has been at the forefront of the discussion in Ghana the past few days due to the President saying legalization is ‘bound to happen’.
Many people have kicked against it, including some Christian organizations, the National Chief Imam and especially Maurice Ampaw.
Speaking on Neat Fm, he said the Christian response has not been so strong because Christians are hypocrites and many pastors in Ghana are gay themselves.
“Most Christians are hypocrites….a lot of pastors are homosexuals here in Ghana,” he said on Neat Fm.
“I am so happy that the Islamic community led by the Chief Imam have come out strongly against homosexuality,” he added.
