Nigeria’s richest man Aliko Dangote has expressed once again his desire to purchase the club he supports, Arsenal.
The cement magnate told Bloomberg news that if he got the chance he would buy the club and implement some managerial changes.
“The first thing I would change is the coach. He has done a good job, but someone else should also try his luck.” he said.
Dangote’s comments are likely to please a large cross section of Arsenal fans, who has been calling for Wenger’s head for years now.
There was a huge clamour for his firing towards the end of last season, especially after Arsene failed to qualify the team for the UEFA Champios League for the first time as Arsenal manager.
The London based club is currently owned by US billionaire Stan Kroenke, who has expressed no interest in selling his majority stake.
