Shatta Wale Confirms – 'Sergeant Lee' Lyric Is Aimed At Stonebwoy

Shatta Wale has cleared the air on his infamous ‘Sergeant Lee’ lyric from ‘Taking Over’ and just confirmed what we knew all along – the lyric is aimed at Stonebwoy.
Whilst there has been speculations since the song was released it has never been directly confirmed by Shatta, and even Stonebwoy has said he doesn’t feel the lyric is directed at him.
However, speaking to Abeiku Santana from the US, Wale stated emphatically that the lyric refers to Stonebwoy.
”I will officially outdoor Stonebwoy as “Sergeant Lee” soon since most Ghanaians refer to him as “Sergeant Lee”. Shatta told the Okay Fm drive host.
“I was composing my “Taking Over” song and I just used the instance when Stonebwoy posted on twitter that he’s in a comfortable lead in the MTV base voting on who is the real dancehall king, so decided to polish it and use it ” he added.
