Truth Be Told–Abraham Attah is Not the Right Person for Ghana’s New Free SHS Ambassador, CHRIS-VINCENT Writes

Abraham Attah

Ghanaian-Hollywood star-Abraham Attah who currently lives and schools in the United States has been appointed by the government of Ghana as the ambassador for its new Free SHS initiative.

But the Editor of GhanaCelebrities.Com who is a fan of the actor says, Attah is not the right person for the job–and that the government of Ghana has made a mistake with the appointment.

In a Facebook post, Chris-Vincent said:

“I was one of the many who stood up for Abraham Attah when I felt he was unfairly treated/mocked by grown adults, Lexis Bill and Jay Foley over his speech at an international award stage.

Abraham has achieved what our superstars-Majid Michel, John Dumelo, Yvonne Nelson and the others dream of.

He’s currently living and schooling in the United States where he says he will work as he does not intend to feature in Ghanaian movies again. In fact, who goes to heaven and runs back to hell?

But I find it absurd that he has been appointed by the government as an ambassador for Ghana’s Free SHS initiative.

GhanaCelebrities.Com wrote: “We reported earlier today that government was going to unveil Abraham Attah as the new ambassador for its soon to be implemented Free SHS policy.

That came on a short while ago, with the unveiling of Attah happening at the Ministry of Education.”

Abraham Attah does not live in Ghana, to be frank, he probably has a new set of friends now. He will not be part of paid or free SHS and he wouldn’t have any in-depth experience in relation to the initiative, so why him?

Perhaps, he does not even give a hoot about it!

Free SHS is an internal policy; it has no global agenda but to mainly reach Ghanaians back home–so why not use a local star such as Kumawood actress Maame Serwaa or even a nobody but an intelligent student?

Who are those making these decisions?

Abraham will probably fly out of Ghana in the next few days. Why couldn’t we use Strika?

I know the answer: we love already polished products and we hate the difficulty in creating our own products or stars.

This is not right, irrespective of how much we are proud of Abraham Attah and his achievements.

He should have declined (I mean his management)–saying, he’s not the right candidate for this.”
