WTF? NPP Vigilante Group Delta Forces Storm Kumasi High Court To Free Arrested Members

The New Patriotic Party (NPP’s) Delta Forces vigilante group seem to have crossed a line of no return with their latest act of defiance, after the group stormed the Kumasi High Court and forcibly removed members of theirs who were on trial.

Citi News reports 13 members of the group who were in court for their part in the group’s recent raiding of the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council and their assault on the region’s newly appointed security co-ordinator, were freed by other members of the group who stormed the court.

“A reporter who was in court told Citi News that the group vandalized some court properties, and almost assaulted the Judge, Mary Senkyire.” Citifmonline reports.

“The judge had ruled that they (the arrested) be remanded to appear before court on the 20th of April, 2017 after charges of conspiracy to assault a public officer and causing unlawful damage.” the report continues.

“After the judge’s decision to remand the suspects, the members said they were not going to allow the ruling to stand, and demanded that the 13 leave the court with them.

“According to the reporter, the judge stood in shock at the group’s behaviour, and was on the verge of being brutalized up by the vigilante group before police intervened and ushered her into her chamber.

“No arrest has as yet been made in connection with the court disturbances, although some police officers were present at the Court.”
