Wanlov da Kubolor has said what we’re all thinking in regards to the upcoming VGMA awards, especially in regards to the nominations for the artiste of the year award.
The final list had some strange names on there, but especially, some very deserving names such as Kofi Kinaata were left off.
This has even led to complaints from Kinaata’s manager.
In a series of tweets on social media addressing the nominees list, Wanlov pulled no punches in describing MzVee’s nomination as ‘underserving’. According to him, Kinaata should be the one on that final list and not the former BET award nominee.

“Kinaata should have been nominated for Artiste Of The Year” Wanlov said.
“…But not at the expense of the super talented and hardworking Medikal who has the streets & the youth in his corner. It is rather the undeserving Ms Vee who is taking up Artiste Of The Year space Kinaata should be occupying”
The Artiste of the Year award, which is the top award on the VGMA awards night, would be contested for this year by the holder EL; Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Joe Mettle, MzVee and Medikal.
