A Ghanaian football fan’s life just changed forever after he won a Ghc 990,650 jackpot with the sports betting firm Betway.
Kwame Fosuhene, of Kumasi, placed a Ghc4 bet on 15 games across the top five European leagues and the English Championship over the weekend and remarkably, predicted all right, landing him the jackpot.
However, Fosuhene cashed in before Monday night’s Chelsea-West Ham game, thus dropping his winnings to the Ghc 990,650. He had predicted that one rightly as well but probably panicked as a wrong prediction in that could mess up his huge jackpot.
If he had waited for Chelsea to play, he would have cashed in GH₵1,600,000.
GraphicOnline have confirmed the bet with Betway Ghana, who say it is the largest win in betting history in Ghana. They also confirmed Fosuhene would be paid his money later this month.
