Information gathered from 3news.com, which is the station’s online outlet, indicates that 32 whooping staff in a matter of minutes were sacked from the corporation for wearing red which climaxed an unlawful week long protest for better conditions of service or agitation against unfavorable working conditions.

It’s reported that threatening writings were seen at a number of places within the TV3 network premises, written by the alleged protesters, who also hoisted a red flag on the Network’s transmission mast to signal an unknown plight.

According to Tv3’s management via an issued statement signed by Jimi Matthews, the impact of such industrial actions would have dire operational and financial implications for the company and therefore all persons affiliated to it are fired.

The act has then been seen as a clear breach of the labour act and work ethics. Other workers were accordingly advised to use legal means to protest when necessary.

Among those sacked are personnel from the editorial, marketing, and library departments.
