Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has waded into the turmoil surrounding the Presidency of Donald Trump, calling for the new American leader to be given more time to see what he can do.
Mugabe granted an interview to state media in his country touching on many issues, including the ever controversial 45th President of the United States of America.
“Give him time” he said of the 70 year old’s new administration and the massive protests being made against it.
With ever crippling sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe by the US as a means to push back against his eternal regime, Mugabe is hoping the Donald would buck the trend of past Presidents and lift those.

“Mr Trump might even re-look [at] the sanctions on Zimbabwe.” he added.
He also said he agreed completely with the hugely nationalistic rhetoric of Trump, who blames all of America’s ills on foreigners – be they Mexican immigrants or Muslims.
“When it comes to Donald Trump… talking of American nationalism, well America for America, America for Americans – on that we agree. Zimbabwe for Zimbabweans,”
“I was surprised by his election, but I did not like Madam Clinton to win either,”
