VIDEO Shows President Mahama Sort of Distributing Cash At Market But Chief of Staff Says It Was Leaflets & Not Cash

After watching the below video three times, I came to the conclusion that President Mahama was selecting certain traders and handing out cash to them—the reaction of the crowd sort of confirms this for me.
A video has been circulating online which shows President Mahama randomly calling traders in a market in Accra during a recent campaign visit, and handing out what seems like cash to them.
But according to Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, what President Mahama was distributing were leaflets and not cash.
Julius Debrah told Joy Fm on Thursday: “That is something people have not taken notice of presidents don’t carry money around. I never knew until I got to the presidency.”
Why would President Mahama himself be distributing leaflets and do so selectively? Why would the crowd cheer to a trader having been given a mere leaflet and jump around to be picked for the next?
Many social media folks have said Mahama was just living in accordance with the Shatta Wale hijacked song-Mahama Papers, by giving out cash to these traders.
Watch the video below and tell us what you think…
