Though Idris Elba has ruled himself out several times as the next James Bond—with the latest from him being that he is even too old to play Bond, Steven Spielberg says he’s still a perfect Bond material.
According to the Academy Award director, he’s a big Bond fan and if he had the power to cast the next Bond, it will be Idris Elba.
Steven Spielberg himself was turned down as a Bond director some many years ago but with what he has achieved so far and currently on top as one of the best film directors, it wouldn’t be shocking if he finally lands a job to direct the next Bond movie.
And it will be awesome if he directs Idris, as the first Bond of colour…
